This past Monday night, I went to a small business networking event at our neighboring Eastern Connecticut State University. The campus is so close to me I walked to the event, and it took less time than I expected- I don’t know why, because my ‘warm-up’ when I run is to walk to campus. Enjoy the walkable city, frano!
The event was the launch of the new Small Business Resource Center, combining the efforts of ECSU’s school of business, and Liberty Bank, with their Small Business Academy and all the good they do there. It was a cool event to go to because I saw a lot of people I like and a lot of people I should talk to and a lot of people that it was good to meet and hear a little bit about them. It was also interesting because there were a ton of students, I think the networking was more for them than for me, and I did some sitting down and reflecting on how scared I would have been to do all this at that time. But they were there and they were brave and they were networking, even if they were also all in sweats.
